BSTRO Launches CarePages Mobile Site
June 7, 2012San Francisco, CA – Interactive marketing and branding agency BSTRO has launched a new mobile site for CarePages. CarePages offers a private social network where families, friends and caregivers of those experiencing a health event can share information and provide emotional support in the form of messages and pictures from loved ones. More than one million unique visitors participate in the CarePages online community each month.
“When a family member or friend experiences a life-changing health event, sharing information about their health condition, challenges and successes can be a daunting task,” said Sharon Kerr, Account Director at BSTRO. “CarePages offers a secure, private and appropriate way to share information, send messages of support, and update friends and family in an instant from any smartphone. The CarePages mobile site brings the family phone tree into the digital age.”
CarePages are individually branded by health care facilities, and offered to patients and families free of charge. When a patient begins a health journey, a new CarePages site can be started at the click of a button; family and friends are then invited to follow and participate in the patient’s progress, posting comments, photos, and messages of encouragement. CarePages are a property of Everyday Health, the world’s most popular online health destination (EverydayHealth.com, WhatToExpect.com, JillianMichaels.com), and are currently offered by more than 625 healthcare facilities in the US and Canada.
BSTRO has a long history of delivering innovative online solutions to the healthcare sector, working with a diverse range of health and wellness organizations, including BabyCenter, UCSF Medical Center at Mission Bay, Johnson’s Professional, Revolution Health, AIDS/Lifecycle, Septembeard, and the BC Centre for Disease Control.
