Canadian App Augments Reality of U.S. Presidential Election

October 11, 2016

VANCOUVER, B.C. – Just weeks ahead of the 2016 U.S. Presidential election, Vancouver-based digital marketing agency BSTRO released a new Augmented Reality (AR) app guaranteed to change the world of politics forever.

“This isn’t Pokémon GO,” says BSTRO VP of Technology Kevin Chan. “Our breakthrough AR technology literally augments the reality of the U.S. political system, improving it to the point that it’s actually on par with Canada’s.”

The new mobile app, entitled JusTRUit, is designed to relieve the stress and exhaustion the majority of Americans are feeling after what feels like a decade of electoral rhetoric, jabs, millions of wasted dollars, and storms of misguided tweets.

The app allows worn-out supporters of any U.S. candidate to reframe their voting experience by simply holding their smartphone up to their completed ballot. Through augmented reality, a new voting option will appear: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

“Americans have been living a hard reality for quite a while now,” says BSTRO Founder and Chief Creative Officer Jill Tracy, an American expat who has lived in Canada for the past ten years.

“As we gathered around our Thanksgiving table on Monday, I felt especially grateful that BSTRO developed the technology to augment American reality––and improve it by offering Americans the chance to experience the polite, pleasant peacefulness of a Canadian national election. I’m thrilled to share the joy of positive politics with our friends south of the border.”

Of course, the mobile app has its detractors. “Yes, there is some stigma around the so-called ‘tampering of ballots,’” says Director of Business Development Lisa Schaffer. “But our technology flies above that kind of basic reality. Literally above. Just a step or two north.”

About JusTRUit: JusTRUit is available for free download nowhere and cannot be used to tamper with the results of the U.S. election. If you’re interested in how augmented reality impacts the digital marketing world, read this article on BSTRO.com.
